Design & Features

From the cutting-edge design of the glass entrance, to the intricate artistry of every Prêt-à-Portea pastry. At The Berkeley, we’ve never been afraid to make a statement.

Through our long collaboration with designers and passion for creativity, we’re proud to have created a hotel that’s truly at the forefront of design. Take a peek inside our little black book.

André Fu

The renowned interiors architect created our beyond-luxurious Pavilion Penthouses, with panoramic views over London.

David Collins

The design legend transformed the Blue Bar, incorporating wood panelling by Sir Edwin Lutyens, in whose honour he created the striking ‘Lutyens Blue’ colour scheme.

Helen Green Design Studio

You’ll find the studio’s calm, contemporary style in most of our Berkeley Suites and our enchanting two-bedroom Crescent Suite.

John Heah

Heah’s fusing of Asian and British design shines in our magnificent first-floor signature suites, the Apartment and the Gallery – as well as in the spacious Grand Terrace Suites.

Robert Angell

The celebrated designer is behind many of our beautiful spaces, from the Collins Room, which pays homage to David Collins, to Michelin-starred Marcus and the Blue Bar. Robert Angell also designed our Chelsea Suites and Balcony King Rooms, with their Belgravia and Knightsbridge skyline views.

Finishing touches

Flowers arrive fresh from our florist Larry Walshe every morning. Every afternoon, the couture creations of Prêt-à-Portea are served up on Wedgwood fine bone china.
